Cambridge Queer Theory (CQT) is a new interdisciplinary initiative aiming to bring together researchers and students from across the university who are interested in queer theory. The main purpose of CQT is to provide a forum for discussion of new as well as older material that contribute to this area of scholarship. We are interested in a variety of sources and are always open to suggestions.
Having originally launched in Michaelmas 2013 by Robert Pralat and Gavin Stevenson, the group is now run by Chloe Sariego, Asia Stewart, and Sara Troedsson- graduate students in the Department of Sociology. The group meets three to four times per term on Friday afternoon. Readings are circulated in advance by email and in the facebook group. To join our mailing list and stay updated about CQT’s activity, please email [email protected] or follow up on twitter @CambQueerTheory, where we are most active.
An outline of past and forthcoming sessions is in the Meetings section. We very much welcome your suggestions about readings as well as other activities. The group is open to all students and staff, and please feel free to contact us individually or by the CQT email with any questions.
